Greetings OGBES Families!
We are thrilled to share an extraordinary piece of news with our entire community, Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary School has officially exited Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) status! This means our school is no longer in the lowest-performing school band across the state. This accomplishment reflects the relentless hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering support of you—our families.
What is CSI Status and How Did We Exit It?
Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) is a designation mandated under federal education guidelines for schools that perform in the lowest 5% statewide based on key accountability metrics, such as standardized test scores, student growth, and attendance indicators.Moving out of CSI status requires sustained, measurable improvement over time. A school successfully exits CSI status by:
- Meeting Academic Benchmarks: Demonstrating consistent growth in reading and mathematics proficiency across grade levels.
- Reducing Absenteeism: Increasing daily attendance so students stay engaged in learning.
- Implementing Effective Strategies: Executing focused instructional improvement plans and tracking student progress to ensure targeted interventions.
A Special Thank You to Our Families
We could not have achieved this milestone without your partnership. Thank you for ensuring our students arrived ready to learn each day through consistent attendance and for reinforcing learning at home. Your daily encouragement, homework support, and presence in our school community directly contributed to this success. While this exit marks a major victory, our journey does not stop here. We still have work to do to further strengthen academic growth and ensure every child reaches their full potential. We are off to a fantastic start for the 2026–27 school year, and with our momentum stronger than ever, we look forward to reaching even higher heights together.
